Crisis Happens
When one member of a small group is in crisis, the entire group will experience pain and discomfort: pain for their brother or sister in Christ, pain that is remembered in their own lives, and the painful effect that the crisis has upon the group.
Everyone has good intentions, but many times, neither the group nor their leader is ready to respond in a helpful manner or in ways that can heal.
What does it take to provide a safe place in the midst of this kind of storm?
This month you will find the "Two Minute Tips" video cast is on the topic of Crisis. Small group leaders will receive simple, practical and necessary ideas to help individuals, the group and you as the leader.

Special Opportunities
Perspectives: Is your small group looking to try out something new together or seeking for a way to "go deeper"? We would like to offer your group the opportunity to attend Perspectives, a 16-week dynamic course, to be held at Northshore beginning in January.
Perspectives is a course of vision— a vision that mobilizes and equips God’s people to live a life of passion and purpose. Through different speakers from around the nation and world, Perspectives communicates that God has always had a plan for the world, that He is carrying out that plan, and that He invites us to have a part in what He is doing.
The class will be hosted at Northshore Baptist on Thursdays, beginning January 14, 2010 to May 7, 2010. The cost of the class is $240 but if you register before December 15, there is a $25 discount; there is also a discount for couples. We believe this class is so important that we have requested the Mission Board to approve partial scholarships for those taking the class at the Certificate Level.
