Three Resources
One of the skills of a good leader is their ability to be resourceful - knowing or finding information and tools when needed. This month's "2Minute Tips" is all about giving you, the small group leader resources and tools to lead well. Take a look!
Important Information For Your Small Group
BIG SPRING CLEAN:
Join your church family in beautifying the exterior of our building for Easter Sunday.
On Saturday March 27th, from 8am - 1pm bring your family or Small Group, and garden tools and help us get our church grounds ready for Easter Sunday.
Starting at 8am with a continental breakfast we'll get everyone connected with different jobs around the outside of our building. After spending the morning working, making new friends and enjoying being outdoors, we will finish with a BBQ together - so come out and enjoy the fun of being with our church family!
If you would like to lead one of the areas or Food prep, please email Pastor Shawn at shawnr@nsb.org.
EASTER'S COMING:
Easter Sunday is a great opportunity for your small group to bring and introduce friends, colleagues and neighbors to church as well as the hope we have in Christ. The services will creatively share the saving hope and message of Jesus Christ. Encourage your group members to take advantage of this wonderful day. Sunday service are 8:00, 9:30, & 11:00am, and 5:45pm.
Share your FAITH this Easter
We are planning four special services this Easter to accommodate our many guests: 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00 am and 5:45 pm. Be in pray about those friends or colleagues the Spirit may lay on your heart to invite. And to help you be more effective in sharing your faith, for three weeks in March Pastor Dean Osuch will give you tools to enable you to simply and effectively share this Easter season (and beyond).
On March 14th and March 28th, at 10:45 am and 7:15 pm Dean will provide you with a helpful tool based on the verse John 3:16. This simple method will enable you to progress from that well-known scripture to sharing your faith in a simple, non-threatening manner. This is a great follow-up class for those who attended the Six Ways to Deliver Christmas class.
Then on March 21st at the same times of 10:45 am and 7:15 pm Dean will hold a class entitled Six Ways to Deliver Easter. Come and discover the way God has created you to share your faith. This class will also help you unleash the evangelistic potential you have for the Kingdom of God.
STUDENT MISSIONS:
If you have any yard work, chores or general work that a high school student could help you with in exchange for a donation to their SERVE 2010 mission trip to Mexico please contact us. 40 students will be going to Mexico this summer and each one needs to raise $1250 for the trip. Be a part of this process by paying our students to do the work you hate!!! Contact Kate Jones at katej@nsb.org for more information. The times, dates and compensation are up to you.
COMMUNITY SERVE DAY:
CommunitySERVE Day 2010 is coming up on August 21st. Are you interested in coordinating one of the projects? We need 24 project coordinators.
