What we hear from our Women of Wisdom:
“Oh, you would never know this is the Student Center. These decorations are so lovely; I feel I am in a tea room. Who does all of this?” Elaine Gillespie has a team of faithful WOW women who transform our luncheon setting.
“Your chef, Lynn Wolter, has done it again. This is just the most beautiful lunch presentation and our food is so delicious.” Lynn has an awesome team of volunteers that serve us behind the scene and at our table.
“That program was so meaningful to me. I wish that my friend …….could have heard it. I am going to invite her next month.” Our calendar holds a wide variety of great speakers and presentations. Your friend will be pleased.
Do you take prayer requests? Foundational to Jesus walking before us and in ministering to us is prayer (talking with God). Norma Bleikamp faithfully leads a growing group of ladies who gather for prayer on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:30 in the church conference room. Norma encourages everyone who can to join our WOW Prayer Group whenever they are able, please. Yes, request prayer. No summer break for this group!
“Can I bring a guest from another church?” “Can I bring my neighbor who has never been in a church? I sense that she will like your programs.” Yes, we have quite a number of our ladies who do not attend Northshore, except for WOW. They find no other place like it that fills their desire for fellowship with women our age (our youngest is late 40’s—our oldest is 90+) and in such a safe and inviting setting. Single, married, and widowed, we find happy smiles in developing relationships.
“That ‘how-to” program just inspired me to give it a try. I can hardly wait. I have more ideas running through my brain that I can expand on what she gave us.” Share at your table how you used the ideas.
“I was a little scared to come to your group because I don’t really know anyone at Northshore. I found people at my table so willing to visit that I can hardly wait for next month. Do you meet in the summer? We meet once a month, September through November and January through May on a Friday (check calendar—weeks vary) at 11:45.
“How much does it cost?” $7.00* Preregistration by Monday before WOW, either on line, church registration hall on Sunday’s or at previous WOW luncheon.
“Who attends?” Women looking for friendship, wanting to bring others for fellowship, desiring to connect with small groups—“ PRAYER GROUP” “CRAFT,’ ‘LITERACY CLUB’ and ‘BOOK CLUB’—book review groups.’ Please call or write Pat Hoffman 425.483.1502 at wow.pat@frontier.com for more information and/or to participate in one of these groups.
