L.I.G.H.T. (Love is God’s Healing Truth) is a biblically-based ministry that recognizes the need for all Christians to grow into the image of Jesus. L.I.G.H.T. also understands that this process may produce some degree of challenge and discomfort, which typically accompany change. Northshore has provided a place where this liberating work can be done when a person is ready.
We offer one-on-one lay counseling, community resource networking, recovery/support groups and assistance for families in domestic abuse situations. Our mission is to introduce the transforming power of Jesus Christ into a person’s life, regardless of the circumstances. We believe that by depending on God, the Holy Spirit, the Living Word and prayer, those who are wounded, broken, defeated or crushed by life’s obstacles can be healed. L.I.G.H.T. provides a safe, confidential and loving atmosphere in which one can enter into his or her transformation process. Come, join us!
Recovery Programs
In this ministry, we come alongside people to share the knowledge, life skills or equipping tools that are necessary to get “unstuck” and be restored in a healthy way to God, family, others and self. We offer help for:
- Post-abortion recovery – Healing Hearts offers insight, healing, grace and reconnection with God through a small support group of 4-6 women.
- Substance addictions – Open AA meetings apply principles that can give a real escape from the bondage of addiction. Coed. Weekly meeting on Thursdays, 6:30 pm in the Lighthouse Portable.
- Sexual brokenness – support groups encourage those struggling with sexual abuse, sexual addiction and homosexuality.
- Women’s drop-in support group for when life is tough – In The Morning LIGHT, Sundays at 10:45am in the L.I.G.H.T. House. Contact Pamela Johnson at 425 486-1714.

- Relationships – support and study groups explore issues, attitudes and behaviors
- Confident Kids – life-skills program for families of children K-6th who are struggling with stressful circumstances. Children learn about God’s love and get equipped for life’s challenges.
- Grief/Loss – support group aids those who are dealing with stages of grieving and life restructuring.

Tower of Light Ministries (homosexuality)
Tower of Light Ministries is a place where people dealing with unwanted same-sex attractions can find the help they are seeking. If you:
- Struggle with thoughts and desires for others or the same sex, or
- Have a history of sexual activity with same-sex partners, or
- Struggle with same-sex fantasies, or
- Find yourself emotionally enmeshed with same-sex friends

Living Waters
Living Waters is a prayer-focused ministry designed for people dealing with sexual or relational brokenness. It is particularly relevant for those struggling with sexual addiction, promiscuity, homosexuality, co-dependency, the effects of sexual abuse, or the inability to love one’s self or others well.
