There are many in our community without medical insurance and the number is rising daily. The first major focus of Community Health Ministries will be to bring a mobile medical unit to Northshore on Wednesdays to serve those in our community and in our congregation who are uninsured. Northshore Baptist Church is partnering with Puget Sound Christian Clinic, the owners of the mobile medical unit.
The mobile medical unit is staffed by volunteers. There are many positions and volunteers needed to make the unit operational. We need medical professionals as well as those who just have a heart to serve and care for patients. Puget Sound Christian Clinic has been in operation for eight years in Shoreline as a fixed clinic. God opened a door for them to purchase this mobile medical unit and Northshore is one of what will eventually become 10 sites that this unit will serve. Through your volunteer support medical care is being brought to those all over our community who otherwise may not have another option.
