Talk Time meets Friday evenings, 7:00pm to 9:00pm, in Room 212/213.
During a typical Friday evening, International students join English-speakers around a table and simply visit together. A topic sheet is provided to help guide the conversation. Through English conversation students learn about American culture and Americans also learn about their cultures. Dinner is provided the first hour, followed by an hour of conversation and games. There are no formal teachers, simply English-speakers who desire to develop friendships with temporary visitors from other countries. This is a hospitality ministry to welcome temporary visitors to our country.
Other Talk Time activities include a fall Hoe-down, Thanksgiving Dinner with an American family, Mt. Baker Ski Retreat, Christmas Party, White Elephant Gift Exchange, Tulip Trip, Mt Rainier day trip, and much more.
